Adoption Process
We do not require an application. However, we do want to know what a person's previous dog experience has been, what one's living/work arrangements are and type of living environment prospective buyers will be providing for the dog . Doodles are very people orientated and need companionship. We strive to place our puppies in forever families, thus the screening of potential buyers.
Shipping
We encourage people to pick up their puppy. However, if inter-island shipping is needed our preferred airlines is Aloha Air Cargo out of Hilo. We will NOT ship to Kauai because the length of the overlay in Oahu is too long. If shipping is needed to Kauai, we recommend meeting the puppy in Oahu or flying to the Big Island to either pick the puppy up at our location or we can meet you at the airport with the puppy.
The cost of the puppy does not include the expenses associated with the cost of shipping. We do not ship anywhere else.
At this time, there is an additional $200 to cover the shipping expensive. We request that people agree to return the shipping crate as drayage to us, with us paying the cost at our pick up.
Since shipping puppies can cause a bit of dehydration, we recommend having water available for the puppy when you pick the puppy up from Aloha Air Cargo. For more info on shipping: http://www.alohaaircargo.com/pet-shipping/.
